I’m gonna tell u how to change usb autorun icon in your
usb.default usb icon looks like this.
I will tell u how to change this and how to add ourown image
as usb autorun icon.ok let’s go.we need some little items for this
1-Usb disk
2-Notepad
3-image(image that wanted to be view as usb autorun icon)
All u have to do is following my steps.
1.copy the image to any location in your computer
2.open a text document in the location where u copied the
image
3.open the text document and type so..
(autorun)
icon=image.ico
(NOTE:-HERE TYPED ’’IMAGE” IS THE NAME OF MY IMAGE.U TYPE YOUR
NAME OF THE IMAGE INSTEAD MY
NAME,’’IMAGE’’)
eg:-if your name of the image is photo u must type as,
(autorun)
icon=photo.ico
4.now we have to save this document.goto file and click on save as.then type autorun.inf
as the file name.now select all types
in save as type.now save it and close it.Now there will be a new text document
and the autorun.inf document in the location.if there is a new text document
delet it.we don’t need that.
5.open a new folder
in our location and and cut\paste the image into the new folder.
6.now u have to open the autorun.inf for a little
editing.edit it so..
[autorun]
icon=New folder\image.ico
here new folder means
the opened new folder where the image locates.if u renamed the folder u must
type your name of the folder instead my
folder name.now just save it.(Ctrl+s)
7.that’s all.now copy
the autorun.inf document and the folder into usb.remove the usb and replug it.u can copy this into CDs DVDs before burning to change their autorun icon
too.
Ohhhh….i forgot something.the image that we are using must
be in ico format.mostly images are
in jpg,png formats.u can use an image converter to convert the image into ico
format.here I give u image 2 icon converter to convert the image.download it
Select the image size as 64*64 and convert it.
If u have instralled usb security guard in your computer the
autorun.inf will be asked to delete as a threat.never allow that.that’s not a
virus.it’s just a document.isn’t that
